gatestowonderland: Bradford on Avon by Nickophoto on Flickr.
enchantedengland: Bradford on Avon is a magical Dickensian-meets-the-Cotswolds sort of town, although it is not in the Cotswolds but on the A363 Trowbridge to Bath road. It is also not anywhere near Stratford upon Avon, which is much farther north in Warwickshire.
I am certain none of you have been confused by all these Avons, but I have; so I will tell you something exciting: there are four River Avons in England. One in Warwickshire, another in Bristol, a third in Devon, and the fourth in Hampshire. The Hampshire one is sometimes known as the Salisbury Avon or the Hampshire Avon. None of these river Avons connect with one another. They are quite standoffish in that way.
